Ray became a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Photographers of Ohio (PPO) and Ohio Society of Professional Photographers based on his talents. His personality and talent led him to be nominated as the President of Certified Professional Photographers of Ohio and the Society of Northern Ohio Professional Photographers (S.O.N.O.P.P.). He has taught and attended over 32 professional seminars, locally, statewide and nationally allowing him to achieve the Professional Photographers of America Craftsman Degree. Among his many awards, Ray has received the Certified Medallian of Ohio, 13 merit prints from international competition, Charles Abel award - Best in show, Best Portrait of the year (S.O.N.O.P.P.), 2nd. Place in Ohio Polaroid print as well as over 100 print awards from local, state, national, and international competitions.
